Our Story

The Gallina Family has served Italian dishes in the Richmond area for over 25 Years. Chef Sal Gallina has opened and operated several successful Italian restaurants in the region. His last restaurant adventure landed him in Ladysmith, VA at Giuseppe's Italian Restaurant. After 17 years of operating the successful establishment Chef Sal decided he needed some time at home with his family. His hopes were to retire, but his family knew he wouldn't last long outside of the restaurant business.

And now at the age of 62 years, Chef Sal now knows exactly what he wants to do when he grows up. "Marco's Italian Grill" named after their first grandchild, brings traditional Italian dishes with a contemporary twist. The Gallina family is not your regular family restaurant owners. Their motto has always been "Our restaurant is our family affair".

My husband and I went out for dinner on Mother's Day with our mothers, siblings, and children as a group of 13. Our reservation was right on time, our service was superb, and our food was even better!
